Mmmm, I miss those from when I was a kid on my dads farm. I always knew that when I gathered eggs where the one hen would put her double yolkers. We were always giving away eggs to neighbors because we would harvest 40 - 50 eggs a day. That went directly to the skillet with a pat of butter and on to some toast for an egg sammich. The best thing about the chickens though was bugs, they ate every bug they could find and they can find em. Never got ticks when in the yard around the house where the chickens would roam. Used to hunt the coyotes so they wouldn't eat the chickens lol.I have this one hen that consistently lays giant double yolk eggs. One double or two regular eggs a day from her.View attachment 4787079

Gorgeous beautyMy chickens also keep the plants pretty clear of bugs. Humming birds take great care of white flies too. My favorite rooster, special Ed. He's kinda retarded.
I always liked giving my pigs pork chop left overs lolMmmm, I miss those from when I was a kid on my dads farm. I always knew that when I gathered eggs where the one hen would put her double yolkers. Nice! Unfortunately my chickens are so old they’ve stopped laying eggs. I am basically running a chicken retirement home but I haven’t got the heart to turn them into stew after so many years.I have this one hen that consistently lays giant double yolk eggs. One double or two regular eggs a day from her.View attachment 4787079
