Chicken Wire

Hello friends, so I'm doing an outdoor grow this year and have heard that I am supposed to get chicken wire and put it underground so rabbits cant dig for my plants. What would be the easiest way to do this? I was thinking of just putting the wire at ground level then digging a small trench around all of it and putting 2 by 4's under the ground, would this work? Thanks mates.

Why not dig the trench and just bury the chicken wire? Then you don't have to carry 2x4's to your spot. If it's rabbits, you might want rabbit wire, it's thicker and probably won't corrode or get chewed through, plus smaller holes to keep other rodents away from your roots.

I buy 2' chicken wire with 1" holes. Cut 6' lengths, connect both ends to create a ring with an approximate diameter of 2' then dig a 2' deep hole with a 2' diameter, insert ring, backfill with good soil and move on
