ChemDawg Fem and a few AK-47 Automatics RDWC Closet Grow

Hey guys, been away from the forum for a season or so. I took a break for a while and after the heat of summer passed it was time to fire up the closet grow again. This year I'm growing a single Chem Dawg fem from seed plus two AK-47 automatics.

I've been wanting to grow some Chem Dawg since smoking some a while back. Also, I've been keeping up with the quality of the automatics and decided to try some, hence the AKs.

I got these girls to sprout on Halloween and have some pics from 10 days, 22 days and from today 8 weeks. I took some clones from the CD so that's why she vegged for 40 days. She was 24 inches tall then and bushy as hell.

I've done a few grows now and this Chem Dawg has been a pleasure so far. This plant acted like it was topped several times, it has about 8 large side branches that are just about as tall and healthy as the main stalk.

When I converted to 12/12 light cycle on Dec. 10th, the Chem Dawg shed a few low fan leaves then shot up at an amazing rate. It was growing almost 2 inches a day. It was about 24 inches tall when I started the flower cycle. That was 16 days ago and she's now 54 inches tall!

I have plently of side lighting to keep the long branches well lit. I've kept the light (450w HPS glass faced hood with 4" cooling duct) about 8-10 inches from the tops which means I was constantly ratcheting the light up every day or two. Finally I removed the ratchets to save more space vertically. Now I've got the light hanging off the eyebolts with S-hooks so I'm out of vertical space. I'm going to put a trellis net to keep the tops out of the lights.

I'm hoping for a good yield off the Dawg, looks like it should support some fat long heavy colas in the coming weeks.
My little AK47 Autos seem to be a bit slow, I think it's because they're sharing the light cycle of the chem dawg which is now 12/12. However, it's buts are super sweet smelling and covered in trikes, they just need to fatten up some. They call this a 60 day plant and she's at day 56 now. My buddy says when he grew some before, it needed a little more than 70 days and I'm thinking at least another 3 weeks unless it just stops budding and ambers out on me. I know that the smoke will be premium, the smell is pungent and oh so sweet now buds are getting sticky too.

The Chem Dawg is in week 5 of flowering, the stretch is finally over, she got tall and now she's started filling out the buds. I've got a few pics of her today. I went back and looked at the last pics I shot back on Dec. 29th. (3 weeks ago when she was two weeks into flowering).

Here's a few shots of her 3 weeks ago and today, with any luck the colas are going to be huge, got a few big ones that could be a meter long.

Not sure how long she'll take to finish? I'm guessing 9-10 weeks? I'm about to add 135 watts of 3w LEDs, hoping the light arrives today.

I'm on week 5 of flowering starting today with a auto Bubblelicious by Nirvana. It's my first grow and I'm surprised how well I'm doing.Anyway man keep growing because you def have the skill to make killer smoke.

Thanks redbud12, I just harvested about an once of AK Auto and it's sweet and fast growing. However, my heart and soul is on the Chem Dog, she's a monster, by far the largest I've grown indoors. I've done several grows with DWC and I thought I've had fast growers in the past but this Chem Dog beats everything I've grown as far as fast growth and huge branches/colas. She was 5' tall at two months from seeding.

I think I've got one Auto Bubble seed that's next up along with some White Rhino female I plan to clone.

Wow dude she's a freaking monster lol. That's some hella green thumb work right there man. I bet the smoke is gonna be some fire especially if you cure her.

The Chemdog is getting close, she's started week 10 yesterday. She's really filling in the buds, they're huge, big around as a soda can and between two and three feet long. The trikes are milky and the brachs are swelling nicely but the white hairs are still not turning red very much. I'd love to take these another two weeks to be honest but I have some travel coming up and I am worried bout leaving them for a week this late in the game.

The Chemdog is a great plant to grow, I just can't say enough about it. Big fat buds, very potent and stinks to hell and back, especially in the morning.

The Chem Dog is in the jars. 1339 grams wet and trimmed from the one plant. I harvested the top colas a few weeks ago and then just a few days ago harvested the lower half of the plant. The top colas dried out to 9.25 ounces and I still have 220 grams of the lower half to cure and dry. So it seems I'm between 11 and 12 ounce yield off this one plant. It is quite potent too.
