Heres part of a write up on the amherst sour d, best info i could ever find on this strain and fairly accurate.

HOW IT GROWS:

It's a difficult and unruly strain to grow. It demonstrates extraordinary vigor throughout her life cycle, requiring low stress training and super cropping. Sour Diesel generally throws a large number of growth shoots and finger-like, light green leaves.

You can expect 200-300% stretch in the first 20-30 days from transition into flower. Be prepared to implement many, many height training techniques. I've always found the wild vigor of the strain to require 3-4 serious pruning/thinning sessions throughout her life for adequate light penetration and high production.

She loves the light and prefers an even, warm and dry environment (80-85 F at 40%-45% humidity seems to be the mark in my C02 enriched garden). It's extremely sensitive to hot spots and high nutrients levels. She needs lots and lots of nitrogen all the way through week six of flower. Although a definite nitrogen hog, it's important to tailor the nutrient schedule to provide higher levels of nitrogen, longer into the bloom cycle, than most manufacture's recommend. Just don't exceed 1100 ppm levels at any time of the life cycle!

Sour Diesel also responds well in hydro to lower pH than is typically recommended. I like to keep them between 5.35-5.8 during the majority of their life cycle, starting in the lower range and moving slowly and steadily towards the upper range as flower progresses.

The reputation of impossibly penetrating odor is not without merit. Expect to change your carbon filters every round if growing this strain frequently or you may just find that all outside areas within 100 feet of your grow will absolutely reek.

SMOKE REPORT:

Sour Diesel's coveted features are expressed most notably in her smell and taste. It's scents of meaty, fuely, diesely, kerosene funk is evident everywhere during the drying and curing stages. Sour diesel grows large, stacked, frosted kolas loaded with swollen pods and high calyx to leaf ratios. Ed Rosenthal, perhaps, has the best description of its taste: "Beyond the citrus end of the pot palate spectrum, lies a sour lemon tang tending toward the heavy pungency of an open drum of diesel." I would perhaps add only, "Â…who's flavor lasts and lasts. Far after the user exhales, coughs profusely, drinks much water, wipes the tears from their eyes - ingests a french fry or two - the taste lingers.

THE GENETICS:

Original Diesel [Chemdawg x {MassSuperSkunk x Sensi NL}] x DNL [{RFK Skunk x Hawaiian} x Northern Lights)]

THE EFFECT:

a bit of creeper, whose deceptively powerful medicating impacts can take 10-15 minutes for full effect. It's extremely effective at treating nausea, migraines and anxiety.

Again turning to Ed; "Sour Diesel's taste combined with its effects may be considered an "extreme sport" version of cannabis."

A creative, uplifting, clear and energizing feeling takes hold immediately.

The combination of intoxicating taste and instant euphoria makes passing on second or thirds impossible for so many. Be warned however: allow the plant 15 minutes for a complete consultation before making the decision to return for more.

Failure to do so may result in finding yourself enthusiastically, and in a clear and cerebral manner, staring at your computer screen paralyzed by the brilliance of all things in existence, unable to complete the rest of your strain review with a lip smacking smile and a really cool taste in your mouth.

THE BOTTOM LINE:

Sour Diesel may not be for patients with less experience with cannabis, both from a cultivating
and a medicating standpoint. The long flower times and precision required for quality results make properly cultivated Sour Diesel a rare and treasured find. For patients preferring impossibly strong tasting medication, which consistently produces combined THC test results exceeding 20%, reliable access to Sour Diesel can be a life changing experience.

Well it being early in my grow everything is going kosher but my ASD is got some blotchy coloring going on? I'm thinking she's being a N hog,i haven't given any nutrients it being in FFOF so i think im gonna thow a tiny bit of Dyna Grow in on the next water to give her a lil N boost.

I run a 5 pack of HSO's chemdawg my last crop. I ened up getting 2 phenos in all; 1 pheno was short and stout with minimum stretch and outbranching, also the bud and overall folliage stayed light jn color. The other pheno was bushy and very vigerous growth.
The end prpduct was off the hook. Once i dried ans cured for a short while it had that classic diesel taste big time, and the smell was similar.
I have some pictures on my phone of them bloom, whenever i get a min later i could post a few if you want.
But yeah if you like that diesel like quality then your gonna lobe this one

I see the distinctly smaller leaves of the Amherst. Mines been flowering 9 weeks now and will soon come down. For me its a little smaller but tightly wound buds. Nice coating of frost on 'em.
Buds arent especially red as the pistils were shorter as well, but still very interesting looking. If I can get a current pick I'll stick it up here.
But those leaves yours has......that's it. Thats her.

Anybody out there can give me some insight on why this Purple diesel is so damn droopy? She not sick or overwatered but she just not always super droopy but just seem like she lags all day never perky? Thinking light intensity but she's always droops no matter what i do lowered ballast down to 300 watts she still droops , maybe she needs sum nutes but i dont really think she does she green and healthy she just a fickle frumpy bitch!

I'll get a pic or 2 together in the next day or 2. I'll remember. I'm sure you'll see the similarities. I seen it right away even as young as yours still is.
