Chemdawg 75% cloudy trichs at day 28 of flower?

I have a possibly odd question. The pics below are of one of two Chemdawg plants I put in my flower tent 28 days ago straight from clone. The other one has a lot more crystals, but both are exhibiting the same behavior; they both have 60-80% cloudy trichs at day 28. There is no amber, so I'd say 25% clear and 75% cloudy.

I've snipped a couple popcorn buds to dry just to test them, but am wondering if anyone else has exhibited this behavior with this strain, and what I should do. Should I let it keep going and wait until 5-10% turn amber?

Would have snapped pics of the better looking plant with more crystals, but it's a pain in the ass to take out of the tent.

ps. thanks for any insight, and by the way, the plant smells phenomenal! A very strong sweet blueberry bubblegum flavour.

I'd say phase 1 of flowering is done, and in the plants remaining life it'll triple calyx's which is more buds.

Upon looking closely, there are calyx's which are severely fattening up, so I'll just wait and see.

Sit back and enjoy the ride. You've still got 5 (-ish) weeks until the shows over and she's ready to go.

I would stop looking at the trichomes and look at the whole plant.

She wont be ready until those white stigma have turned brown/orange and shriveled back. The calyxes will swell making the whole buds look fat and round. You will only see the tips of the leaves growing out of the bud. The leaves will look less young and green & lower leaves will yellow and drop. Resin & terpine production will increase and the flowers will get heavy and dense.

This is when you might look at trichomes to see the ratio of clear/cloudy/amber. It is the last step in determining maturity, not the first.

Not an odd question. Possibly one of the most asked questions in the community. I would feed a little heavier to start and mark your calendar. 60-80 days of 12 hour photoperiod is the usual for most strains.

It's exciting to know that it's all good, as I did expect 9-10 weeks, and if they look this good now, I'm definitely going to be over my 10g dry estimate per plant I figured when I first started this project.
