checking trichomes with?

Im nowhere close to checking trichomes but I wanna be ready wen the time comes. Ive looked all over google and everyone seems to be settling for a cheap handhelx scope that they're not happy with. I want a decent handheld scope that is worth the money and has a light. Any suggestions? I would like to be able to check them without having to cut a pice off. I dont even know the proper name for it but I need advice.

30 x loop ... no need to whack a bud off. Just get up close.

I use a 40x jeweler's loupe. It did have an LED, but I broke it about a year or so ago. So I just use a little LED pen light if I cast too much shadow over my view.

I believe I got the loupe at Amazon, but it could have been eBay... hard to remember every little purchase made over four years ago.

I bought a 45x led scope for 5.00 shipped from amazon. was shipped from china. works great for checking trichs. I also have a 60-100x scope w/led. I don't rerally use it.

I bought a 60-100x scope from my local grow shop a while ago, and it just doesn't work too well, so on the advice of a fellow member here on RIU, I ordered a 40x loupe from eBay. $4 + $4 shipping. < $10 total.

I have one of these... I took a micro mag lite, (the single AAA kind), and attached it to the scope. The lens has a measure on it, it marks off thousandths of an inch for a couple hundredths, but the view of the trichs is incredible.

I got a nice loupe from deep inside a scanner/printer. Some have really awesome ones, some suck. Others are really hard to get out, but they work, the lenses are really high quality, and they are free.

i use 30 power jewlers loop, says: bausch& laumb on it, payed 50 bucks for it new 20 years ago!

I use the lens out of a $3 lazer pointer over the lens of my Samsung Galaxy S3. Works decent! I take a sample from a plant and lay it on the table then take a picture.

Thanks guys. I like the joke about the eyes. If u only knew how much time and effort I put into growing my plants.. hints the wanting of a scope ... if u like the loupe then use it. Dont hate on me bc I want to use a powered magnifyer. I mean im just tryin to up my game as much as I can. Sorry I dont like doin things the way u do. Im just me. So ill keep doin it my way since its workin so well. Thanks again for the opinions guys
