Trying to do a perpetual grow to harvest one 3x3 flood table of 25 clones each month that will be flowered as soon as they are fully rooted.
I have two of these 3x3 flood tables so I'll fill one up each month.
A 2x4 flood tray for the moms/clones will be in a diy bubble cloner.
Will be using 5" net pots filled with plant it hydroton.
Will these float when the table is flooded?
Is this the most I could fit in a 3x3 tray?
Any tips for this style grow is appreciated very much. Thanks!

i suggest you read the entire Al B. Fuct thread (skip through everyone elses post and just read his or it'll take years lol) it'll take a few hours but you'll learn everything you need about SOG perpetual grows (except he uses rock wool) and putting rooted clones straight into flower which give you a single main cola and huge dense buds that are easy to trim instead of fluffy popcorn nugs that come with big plants. as a matter of fact al b. fuct uses 3x3 trays too except he has 4 of them so he can harvest every 2 weeks and he uses between 22-24 plants per tray but what you said is very basic knowledge on your grow but it sounds good so far. if you explained your environment conditions what nutesyou were using and all that then I'm sure people would be able to help you a lot more

So I'm messin around with where to put which lights and need some feedback.
I have 4 Area 51 rw150s and 6 Area 51 w90s.
I have a 4x4 tent and a 4x4 open area both for flowering.
Is 6 of these w90s going to be enough for the 4x4 tent(link attached)?
It would be easier to hang the w90s in the tent and the rw150s in the open area but want to make sure the tent has enough light.

So I made these beefier brackets for these lights but ended up having to drill holes in the sides for the plug wires to go through.
But got it all nice and clean and ready to hang.
Decided that I'm Going to put these 6 w90s in my 4x4 flower tent and the. Hang my 4 rw150s in the open 4x4 area. Must have moved my lights around 10 times to figure this out lol.

no offense dude but I'm speaking for Al B. Fuct when i say this... ditch or sell those LEDs and buy yourself a 1000w aircooled hps light if you can afford too or get the 1000 and add some of the leds around the plant but for the 4x4 you want the 1k... id rather have 1 600 HPS then 900watts in 10 different led lights. the leds don't penetrate the canopy enough. thats just my opinion though bro! and with the air-cooled lights you can put a 1000w, 10" from the canopy without burning the plant!!!

I respect your opinion and apprecciate it. However I know these LEDs will penetrate a 3x3 flood tray packed with clones flowered immediately. They do great on canopys up to about 18" thick. This should be no problem. I have taken al b's advice and am getting a 400 watt metal halide with a ballast and air cooled hood for a 2x4 mother plant tent. Will have a 2x4 flood tray in it. Hoping to keep 4 mother plants at all times.
This grow is on my 2nd story and there's no attic with a tin roof. I've insulated the shit out of the insides of the rooms but still will have heat problems if I'm using all hid lighting.

The lights in the tent are 6 90 war led panels, so 540 watts total. I plant to add another 270 watts to this butt his is it for now.
The other 4 lights I still have to hang but are a total of 600 watts. I know I can get some good harvests using the SOG method. I grew one plant last time and got over 6 ounces.

i know you haven't complete reading his journal but as a spoiler alert he switches back to the 400 hps for mom plants because the hps give the plants more of a stretch that he was looking for. my whole thing is the ups will distribute the light more evenly, if i was you i would've just got a big ass mars 1600 for like 700 bucks if you wanted led instead of a bunch of individual lights but if that works best for you then more power to ya!!! but honestly I'm sure you'll be fine with what you got either way and you're right, so is the way to go if you want to maximize you're GPW

Ah no I haven't got there yet. So he uses hps for his mothers? I'll have to read more tomoro.
Getting multiple small panels is better imo becuSe if one goes out you can still keep growing. If you have one big panel and it goes out, your crop is gone. Multiple small lights have overlapping light footprints leaving no dead spots. One big panel always leaves some fall off along the other edge, worse than these lights.
I returned several LEDs before keeping these finally.
I am stoked you gave me the al b fuct hookup lol. Now I'll have good strong moms and SOG should crop me out close to a pound per month. My goal is 1/2 pound. Gotta do a lot of work on learning how to clone in Rockwool. Going to follow what the man says to a t!
Oh.. And Mars LEDs are junk. If that's what comes to mind when you think of LEDs then yea I can see where what your sayin is comin from. These are good lights. Area 51 is a highly reccomend light

yeah because the metal halide makes the new growth on the mothers more short and compact and that isn't what he wanted for how how he does his clones. but yeah thats true i supposed, if a light goes out even though if you check on your grow regularly and buy quality equiptment you shouldn't have to worry about that but yeah i hear UFO LEDs are top quality but good luck dude! id love to see the process if you complete a journal

Keep an eye out I will be making a grow journal with all questions welcomed here in a few months. Taking my time to set up everything correctly first.

I hear the ufo LEDs are cheap Chinese lights. They work, but the spectrum isn't optional. Area 51 has some bangin grows out there check them out!
