hey guys, i'm providing some pics to clarify my question! i have a 400w hps/mh hydrofarm light currently hangin over my 4 plant autoflower garden, my question is, how should i hang the light to give my babies the max light?? any help would be appreciated, thanks. the first 2 pics are before, how i had it, and then the 2nd set is after, how i moved the light. i'm thinkin the 2nd way of hangin will provide my babies with the most lumens, what do ya'll think??

Sorry, but it's not clear to me what the difference is. Are we just talking distance here? If so, the closer the better, just be wary of temps. Too hot will obviously fry your plants.

sorry, yeah i know all about how close it's supposed to be to the top of the plants, i'm actually talking about how the light is physically hung, like, i think the 2nd way will spread the light out more towards the mylar and less out the opening. does that make sense? see how the 1st and 2nd pic its hangin with the back goin from left to right. in the 3rd and 4th pic the back of the light is facing you, or out the opening of my box

you have to be the judge of that. it appears to give more even light in the second set of pics.

cool, thanks alot dudes. i'm gonna go with the 2nd way. it's only a 400 so i'm able to keep it really close, and the temp never goes over 75, with great ventilation. it's going great so far
