hey all, my clones have 3" roots on them so tomorow im taking them out of the aerocloner and putting them in soil. there going to go into a closet without much ventilation except for a box fan.

so....should i get a 2" t5 for 3 small mother plants and later add another one when there bigger to have two total 2" t5 4 bulb fixtures.

or

should i get some led panels? i havent read into leds in like 2 years so im not recent on the technology or the price of just vegg led panels. i know i can bud with them. dont tell me that lol

would they use that much less power compared to the t5's? i know t5's are only like 110w or somthing minor like that but i still want the lowest powerbill possible since im doing hid lights for the bloomtent.

thanks guys for the input, pics of your moms with what lights YOU have found to be best would be great!

when i re read that i felt i should mention the closet doesnt have a door at this time. so its free flowing air in and out of the room and the sliding back door connected to the room that the gardening is in is always open. good draft

Go for the T5s. The initial purchase cost is a lot lower than that of most decent LED panels.
most LED modules total up to 90+ Watts per panel, so in terms of consumption, you make no savings.
I personally do not feel that the investment is worth while.

Most importantly: T5s are so much easier to pick up at the stores. Quite a useful trait in events of damage, or general failure of the product.

Yup. shall be ample!

Mother plants growth needs to be controlled in most instances, and less light allows for slower growth, which in this case, you want!

I would amp up the side lighting somehow.

Maybe add a few CFLs or another T5 on the side walls of your grow.

These probably will not be necessary, depending on how many clones you take, and how often you take them.

It is quite possible that you can keep the mothers tiny with all the pruning.

Should the mothers get ridiculously large, take your last set of clones, allow the plant some time to heal, and flower it.

Use one of the new clones to replace the mum, and you have a nice bushy plant in flower to boot!

Good luck!
