Cheapest HID lighting sources

Who has the cheapest ballasts/reflectors/bulbs out there on the net? Used to be some sites in the netherlands, but they are all gone since 2004. They had complete setups for like 50 bucks! Anyway, where do you guys go nowadays?

You can.buy warehouse lighting thats hid for pretty cheap on a lot of sites. Search for industrial lighting or hid high bay lighting.

I found a 250 watt metal halide that is all one piece for $40 on ebay.

Thanks for the input guys. Have you tried to DIY ballast kits from HTG? This stuff is more in my price range, as I am needing four new systems for my expansion. Never built my own ballast, but I do see it saving me a ton of Money.

I just replaced my 400W set-up in my veg room. Went to eBay.com and bought a digital MH/HPS ballast with cool tube, hanger, timer and both bulbs for about $140. Everything was included.

if you go with htg I wouldnt go with their bulbs. I use their 600w bulbs and replace them about once a month. they are under warranty but it can be inconvient.

bought my first real set-up from htg. about 5 years ago i have since passed it on & its still going strong

I think this is a smokin' deal. The bulbs are reasonable too.
