I know there are some really expensive Jack Herer seeds out there, like $229 for ten seeds. How are the less expensive versions?

TGA Subcool's Jack the Ripper. It is a polyhybrid so various phenotypes could be possibly expressed. If you get the sativa phenotype consider yourself very lucky.

Here, let me make your decision for you: Sannie's Jack.
Looks like a good price, but when my Firefox web browser goes to Sannie's page, all kinds of warning boxes pop up saying the website has a poor reputation. Most of the time I get this warning, I don't go to the website link. Are they safe?

Update: I just loaded the web page with Google Chrome and didn't get any warning.

Got some regular F7 seeds. I'll try to generate some pollen from a male and create my own seeds. I'm getting tired of the feminized stuff. If you want to create your own seeds, the feminized stuff is just not as good. According to their website, I should get five freebie seeds.

Sannie's shop is very legit. He does a good job getting your beans out fast, you get your choice of quality freebies, and you have your choice of quality genetics from breeders that care.

What'd ya request for a freebie?

Unless you specified otherwise, you get Free Kush freebies. I haven't run 'em yet myself, but since their lineage is KO Kush (Herijuana x Killa Kush) x Starkush (Pre-98 Bubba x Sensi Star) they will most likely be potent and stoney indicas. A nice compliment to the Jack, if you ask me.

don't grow Jack dude. True jack takes 12 weeks to finish and even though it is a great yielder the smoke will never have a sweet taste

sannies' $50 jack f7 is considered one of the best in the world with sensi seeds $225 herer being it's main rival. EVERYTHING sannies breeds is top quality if you read enough reviews and threads. SJf7 is the top item on my shopping list for sure.

TGA's jack the ripper is supposed to be pretty good too, and judging by it's jack's cleaner 2 daughter, it can't be too shabby because JC2 kicks so much ass it isn't funny and is my current favorite strain as it has real trippiness with an extra cool touchy feely effect that i've only seen one other time in hideous tasting, but awesome smoking diesel based onyx. i'll never iunderstand why people like diesels. they're disgusting in the extreme. ditto that for the 2 times i know i've scored diesels based on that nasty truck stop taste.

i'll have to get back to you on CH9's jack. i vaguely recall it surprising me because it looked like a straight up indica, but wasn't skunky at all and despite having some stone in it, might have been more potent than some other jacks & hazes i was testing and an acceptable functional buzz otherwise overshadowed by jack's cleaner 2 & sweet haze. i ordered another fem of that to test along with their jack 33 to give it a better look. as compact as the jack was, it has potential for breeding with stretchy & slow IBLs or cash crapping in it's own right. for something like $10, it's worth checking out at least.

if you're sure you want jack herer though, sannies' jack f7 is the real deal and not watered down schwag. the jack hammer cross with 50% amnesia haze might be even better, though it's a slower flowering strain. good things come to those who wait is a good rule of thumb when it comes to weed. look at kali mist... it takes 17 weeks to finish, but that is some awesome shit, especially if you plan on running a marathon
