Cheap, quick trellis frame ideas?

So I need to be able to set up a 2 trellis at 5x18. I'm trying to figure out best solution for supports. I don't have much money or time at the moment so looking to do it on a budget.

The isle side is the one I'm having trouble coming up with a solution for, I was thinking metal fence post in a bucket with cement or my buddy mentioned they made a new spray foam for setting post in.

Open to any ideas anyone might have on best way to set it up. I want to be able to run one net to flatten out the plants and another above for support once they are done with the stretch.

Why not just build a wooden frame?

Build 2x squares or rectangles. Drive a screw halfway in, about every 1-2in apart around perimeter of the frame. Then you can run wire across and use the screws to wrap the wire around.. that creates your trellis/grid.

Now you have 2 trellised wooden grids, you just need to put some uprights to hold them up at your desired heights. The weight of the wooden structure itself should be plenty, no need for posts in buckets.

Total cost should end up being 40$ or less, depending on what supplies you already have on hand

Pretty cheap trellis nets on ebay/amazon. Just need a simple frame
I have the netting already, just trying to figure out the best way to make a frame.

Yeah I've been thinking of using wood or PVC. I'd like to do PVC but I think it would be costly. The hardware store opens at 9 I'm gonna go see what I can find as far as PVC or conduit. If that is too pricey, I already have plenty of lumber around. I guess I'll just paint it to try and seal it so it can be cleaned better between runs.

If you are talking 18 ft long and 5 ft high, I wouldnt use foam myself. Im not an experienced cannabis grower persay but i have grown a lot of hops and vine plants on trellis'. That long it gets pretty heavy. Your first idea is pretty good. Take 2 5 gallon buckets concrete in 2 posts (pvc would work) and put caster wheels on the bottom to move easily. Drill a hole through the posts and pull a 1/4" or 1/8" (20 bucks for 50 ft) steel cable through for top and bottom. Use turnbuckle tensioners to pull the lines tight. All you need is a top and bottom wire to tie your trellis net to with zip ties.

PVC isnt crazy expensive.. especially because of the amount youd need. You can buy a 12pc bundle of 8ft or 10ft pvc for like 30$, plus the fittings.

PVC isnt as heavy though.. may need something to weight it down. But it's probably the better way to go, itll be easier to break down/assemble

PVC birdnets can be bought 10m^2 for a buck that will last a year, at the end of stretch throw them over the plants and all colas will remain in place.

I'll post back up with updates started raining when got home from hardware store. I need the trellis up asap and had the idea in my head for a while of the green metal t post in a bucket with concrete. Those are for the isle supports. I just bought I hooks for the wall sides.

I'm not sure it will be the best but was the fastest solution I could come up with I saw a few guys on IG using them that way so hopefully it will be good enough. A 5 foot wide canopy is gonna be hard to get to for defoliation but I guess I'll crawl in and do it from the bottom.

Here is a before picture hopefully later today if the rain lets up I'll be able to post an after picture. The other row looks the same just couldn't fit it all in one picture.

All of your ideas were good, but when I got to the hardware store I just couldn't figure out what to get and this idea had been in my head for a while.

Well I got the post in the cement but it's so humid here today that it might take a bit to fully harden up. That and I got into some mushrooms when I came inside earlier so if they are any good I might be "busy" for a while.

I need to buy more I hooks anyways(for the wall sides) so I'll get a picture up tomorrow.
