Still getting all my ideas together for my grow room but i came across this site that i think has pretty cheap hps lights from what ive been able to find http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/EProducts.asp?ProductFamilyID=3 i want to get the 150 or the 400 watt hps but dont see a plug in i think that it might possibly have to be wired to a power source if so do you think that it would be possible to wire a normal power cord to it to have it run to a normal plug in. And if it does have to be wired anyone know how to do that =P. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks =D. Oh and please post any cheap lighting sites you might have come across.

NO! you cant set it up be plugged in the wall or hardwired, the electricity needs to be converted through the ballast. It takes a different type of ignition to set the lamp off. I didnt know better before either.

The cheapest way is still and will always be CFL's I mean cmon...6 26w daylights for 10 bucks? and thats the good kind...even better they dont use shit for electric. HPS is superior to all but CFLs in mass quantity are pretty freggin impressive.

With HID equipment you get what you pay for...the less you spend the crappier it gets. Means the wuicker the bulbs will burn out, the sooner the ballast will kick, the more energy it will use. Spend the extra 200 bucks on whatever you get and get quality. Otherwise your talking about poor cost to yield ratio, possible safety issues and more stressful situations.

right now home depot has 68w CFL's comparable to 300w incandescent light bulbs they are 14$ us and are next to the hps replacement bulbs and are self ballasted so u only need a standard e26 socket, saw them on saturday....they are big as hell like 10 inches so make sure you have room lol:-P:weed:
