IMO minimum a 400W

600W is most effective in watt to light output ratio, but also get hotter, so also deepens on your space and ventilation aso

normal as a rule of thump a 400W cover 3x3 ft. a 600W cover 4x4

I actualy got my light from the UK (Im in Denmark)

found it cheap at Basement lightning (great service, had it in 4 day`s)

here is a link to the light I bought:

only 55 buck for a 600W poot light, just plug it in, tho it is used but reconditioned, german quality used in green houses, new wiring and a new quality bulb, and a warranty, did really good on my fist grow

but do to high temperatures last summer I had to make a DIY cool hood for it to get my temps down under +30C
(my room is 3x5 and I run a 6 inch ventilation and have a normal ambi temperature on around 22C but last summer I had +28C some days)

with the cool hood on I can keep temps around 24-26C even had to turn on the heat a bit now at winter time, could probably run it all year except summer time with out the cool hood ..

so take that in to consideration as well, need a strong ventilation, and a filter for the smell in flowering, Im now running it on its 9th months with no problem, near the end of my 3 flowering cycles, still works perfect and bulb still put out around the same amount of light

ahh great thanks for the advice that's a real help :) they look like really nice plants in the photo by the way man :) yeah the hood would be a must to cool it tbh, the ventilation would definitely need up grading, it will be a 4" inline fan to carbon filter .
