I have 8 CFLS i just wanted to add some hps to the mix,,im doing 1 to 2 plants for flowering,,,is there a cheap way to connect the hps

can i put a higher bulb then 70 watt??? i want to add some hps cheaply

If it comes as a 70W light then a 70W bulb is the ONLY wattage you can use. Not lower not higher.

wattage has to match not interchanging wattage bulbs with lower or higher. A 400 watt ballast runs only a 400 watt bulb no smaller no larger.You can buy 400 watt digital switchables for about $99 new or 600 watt digital switchables for $119 at Maryland Hydroponics .Heres pics of some of thier digital 600 watters great products.weight about 5 lbs,overclocked so they out put close to 640 watts each run about 55 dgrees and are instant on and silent..2 600 watters on a home made tandem light mover arm

do u think itl be worth it for me,,im using 8 cfls if i throw in that 70 watt hps will it make a sig differance? thats 40 bucks including the bulb

i saw this add on a website for
250 watt HPS flood for $75. so thats the ballast and everything,,,i couild just hang tha over?

I think it would help but why not save it, add a little to it and buy one of the ones FilthyFletch recommended. Those would make a big difference.
