Cheap alternatives for lighting?

Im broke, and growing outside at the moment, but id like to keep growing once frost hits, so I was wondering if there were any cheap alternatives for lighting?

Cfl's cheapest best lights by far

a hps.....

CFLs for 2 plants or less, HPS for 3 or more. 6 or more get an HPS and get a few cheap cfl's for the lower leaves.

like xtcxlocstax said cfl's are gonna be the only "cheap" thing you can use. Your other alterative would be L.E.D.'s there good on power and heat but they are pricey to buy, ($80-$500+)

i bought an MH 400w magnetic ballast with new sunmaster bulb and a reflector for 50 bucks, then i went and got a sweet 600w MH/HPS electronic ballast sun systems reflector inline fan and 2600 can filter plus an hps bulb for what? 170, man

these are tough times, hit up craigslist and you will find the deal of a lifetime, anyone that contributes directly to the production of new devices etc... is a fool, buy lightly used and you will save shit tons, and i mean shittonic continents of poo that stay in your wallet cause you went to craigslist, DUMBASSES

POR IF YUH WANT TO BE CHEAP LIKE AN EGYPTIAN, use reflective mirrors to bring the light in from outside and magnifying glasses to focus the beam of light
