CHC in small pots

So I have these clones that are a few weeks old, which were initially in rockwool. I planted them in soil with 1/3 coco husk and 2/3 fox farm ocean forest in 4" pots. Now, what I'm wondering is when I transplant them, is it bad that the chc is so shallow, or will the roots grow into and around it?

I'm assuming you layered it?

You should really mix the two together. :)

Cannabis is a hardy plant and will grow in most soils.

No I put 1/3 Coco at the bottom, and the soil on top... I took advice from the guy at the hydro store but maybe I misinterpreted him. Is this approach bad?

It's always good to get something in the bottom of the pot to allow for drainage but most people don't do this as it's not really necessary.

It simply takes up room that the roots would love to grow into. ;)

I'd suggest mixing that CHC up with the soil instead, that is of course if you're using it for drainage purposes.

If not, just use perlite.

Hey guy's I'm new on this site here. I apologize to start a thread here but I've got a question to ask. My plants are drooping one of them(the biggest) is in a small pot idk..7-8" tall pot and the plant itself is about a foot or more. Could it be root bound? The leaves are a dark green, droopy, smell "minty" and the stem was pretty soft. I had been trying to flower them to see what they were and and had them in my closet under fluoros for 12/12 for like 4 days and saw that they were wilting. Needless to say to no avail yet. I'm preparing them for a guerrilla grow. They had been watered before and not over-watered either. No fan or anything special just kinda under the lights for about 4 days. So I have them outside now I'm just gonna let nature run it's course for another week or so before planting them into the ground. My next question is..has anyone used Holly-Tone Blood meal 12-0-0? That shit attracts flies like crazy and so much that they laid maggots in my soil over a week ago. Could that have been a problem? It's been really dry around where I live in NC and it's bag seed that I'm growing, but I have nothing else so please don't bash me! Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! If you're in the Charlotte?Boone?Winston-Salem area...hit me up!!! I need some hook-ups!

Very off-topic... but nonetheless something I can help with. I would say you have multiple problems... firstly, you should have at least a small oscilating fan on the plant, but you can turn it off when its "night" time. Also seems like it could be root bound, check out early on in my grow journal and you can see what happened to my roots, which caused major wilting. Maggots don't sound good, I would stay away from that nute... and flies are bad as well. Keep it simple...

Bonuslazer, thanks for the advice! It's been hard to keep it simple since their are flies on my porch all the time. I now have got some problem with the leaves that getting eaten up. I've got some of that Bayers stuff that works on plants and veggies so it's safe enough. Any more help will be appreciated. Btw, how can you start your own thread?

Just go to the category you need help in (in your case plant problems) and hit new post... if you are using these forums you should be familiar with how they work. Also, you should be posting pictures (on your own thread) so people can identify what you are explaining and figure out whats really going on. good luck buddy
