Chauvin Trial

oopsie, @TrippleDip just laid down a Trumpian lie:

A full autopsy report on George Floyd, the man who died after being restrained by Minneapolis police last month, reveals that he was positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The 20-page report also indicates that Floyd had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death, although the drugs are not listed as the cause.

In video taken by bystanders, Floyd, 46, is shown repeatedly pleading that he cannot breathe as he is held down with a knee on his neck by former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin, with three other officers present. The incident has sparked nationwide — and even worldwide — protests.

Floyd's death has been ruled a homicide.

The autopsy report from Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office concludes the cause of death was "cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression." That conclusion, death due to heart failure, differs from the one reached by an independent examiner hired by the Floyd family; that report listed the cause of death as "asphyxiation from sustained pressure."

Bullshit, that is just your narrative.
It's on video. Have you watched it yet?

5 min - He starts saying he doesn't feel good, that "[he's] scared man", pleading "please don't leave me by myself"

8 min - starts telling them he's going to die and has problems breathing

11 min - he goes to the ground

12 min - they call ems

trying to pin them down could lead to a stress that they coul
Please tell me how we shouldn't arrest violent criminal drug addicts because they *might* have a heart attack. This policy can never work and is dishonest because you pretend criminals never hurt police officers.

Yes, but they also were clear in that was not what killed him
No, he died of cardiac arrest. The same thing everyone dies of in the end. Don't pretend that means somehow the drugs didn't kill him. You could as easily say the autopsy reports said the knee didn't kill him and it would be just as true.

See above. Cop wasn't listed as cause of death either. Fact.

Don't need to watch the trial, didn't even watch the video of his murder, too painful and I'm not on the jury, but from what I've seen the cop is guilty as sin and the evidence is overwhelming.

Racist much?
No, I believe thee white/women jurors will be racist believing that black man couldn't possibly have the brains or self agency to ever be anything other than a violent drug addict criminal and thus it was the cops fault entirely. See similar sentiments posted above.

The black men however will see a violent drug addict criminal who threaten their neighbourhoods.

And no, that's not racist, this is a cultural/media thing. However it is sexist because women are prone to acting emotionally and not thinking too hard.

I too feel entitled to tell other people how they should think and feel having no firsthand knowledge of actual events, just what my media corporation gods prescribe me to pass on to others!

I stand corrected. Lol.

By the way, “self agency” is redundant.

Peddle your cherry picked narratives that the right wing hate mongers are desperate to push out into the world to further divide our society, with someone else man.

You are being disingenuous when you don't even look at the things people are showing you pretending you are not trying to spew a hateful narrative that has already been shown to be propaganda.

Just an opinion, I ain't on the jury and either are you, the trial was on TV all day and I caught bits and pieces of the videos, those I could stomach. I also saw some of the earlier video and heard the testimony of witnesses when it happened, it is a very well documented murder and will be proved in court I believe.

It's just like those losers at the capital insurrection, those crimes were documented on video in meticulous detail too.

He killed that dude, pretty sure he will not be going to jail. Hard enough to convict a cop in the best of times, at this point I don't think you could find a jury that wouldn't be tainted.

It's so weird when people defend cops on the weed boards. Both sides do it depending on the issue. Damn you legal weed, you took away that common bond that made people figure out how to get along.

Incase anyone is interested the trial is on court TV.

I've not been watching it but I did watch some of the jury selections, did anyone watch it?

Ffs they got the 3rd degree questions, they (the authorities) have been looking at the potential jururors social media accounts looking for comments/views/videos regarding George Floyd, checking if the family, friends had any interests in George Floyd, blm etc, make no mistake that jury has been carefully selected selected.

The American judicial system is pretty shameless but Ffs he clearly murdered him surely they can't let him go?

The Washington Post article goes into a lot more detail too (I am only posting the beginning of it) about George Floyd's underlying health if anyone is interested.
when in custody the police officer is now completely responsible (and in charge) for the care of the person who he cuffed, stuffed, unstuffed four cops at one point kneeling on his back.I n mortuary when removing a body, you break it you bought it.

i'll tell you where prosecution was going and it's a bombshell. let's play a game..i'll give you a hint:

cameras Cup Foods
time
Shift SGT.
dispatcher

there's also another bombshell involving the MMA guy can you guess? it's pretty huge but not as huge as above bombshell; i have to check the time and don't want to do the reveal if i'm wrong. a few hints:

MMA guy
where he parked
where he walked
did he go into Cup Foods

Restraint is restraint. Could there have been better choices, yes. Did they make an acceptible choice given the circumstances, yes. Are they criminally liable for fentanyl floyds death, nope.

Is your argument that we shouldn't ever arrest drug addicts because they could have a heart attack? Maybe we shouldn't arrest fat people either. Sound like a good idea? If only those violent criminals would always tell the truth and never lie to get loose and fight back, then the cops could be gentle. Grow up.
so how many were kneeling on Mr. Floyd's neck/back? 1? or 4? from which angle?

i threw you a bone.

Watch the video. The jurors did, and that's exactly why he will be aquited. Read the transcript, second piece of evidence and public. They are asking him ten minutes before why he has foam on his mouth, he tells them he was running. They ask him why he is acting erratically, why he is having trouble standing up. The people with him are even telling him to stop resisting. Floyd had so many outs to come clean and say he took drugs.

Keep denying reality, it's all on camera. They call him an ems less than a minute after he hits the ground, less thsn 15 seconds after he cries momma. Called again to increase the priority. EMS took 8 minutes.

They had a reasoned discussion about whether to keep him where he was or put him in recovery position - and this is where the trial will be focused. But again, it's on camera, they discuss how he is acting erracticly and speculate he's either on pcp or other excited delerium and possibly faking. They made the best decision they could and so they won't be charged.

Watcu the video, read the transcript. Educate yourself or you are outing yourself as a teller of lies to push an agenda.

Edit to add that he is telling them he can't breath long before he is even on the ground.
EMS went to the wrong place because Fire couldn't find them..you must be watching the FOX version.
