Does it bother you now when other people smoke around you ?

Thanks I might have gained some strength from this . Im going to start cutting down Right now .. I smoke 1 1/2 packs a day or better , Im going to shoot for 1 per hour and ween myself down to 10-12 cigarettes a day .. then take another step..

I noticed while swimming underwater I could Barely hold my breath for underwater swimming .. I might even start walking when the weather breaks

other peoples smoke does not bother me.

being underwater is a good way to quit. :-P

i haven't weighed myself but i have moved my belt out 2 holes. i look "younger". when i awake in the morning and look in the mirror i look "refreshed". :-P
I didn't even think of that, but it's so true. Smokers wind up looking older than they are.

So proud of you :hug::hug:

Using Varenicline (CHANTIX) To Quit Smoking: Do Not Use Until 2014 [hide all summaries]
(September 2007)
Varenicline was approved by the FDA in May 2006 for use as an aid in smoking cessation treatment. It belongs to a new family of drugs, not containing nicotine, but thought to work by stimulating nicotine receptors in the brain, just as nicotine does. As seen so many times, recently, the evaluation of the safety of a drug is often inadequate when it is approved and varencicline is no exception. In pre-approval studies, the most common side effect appeared to be nausea – uncomfortable, not life-threatening, but occurring in more than one-third of patients using the drug and often causing patients to discontinue the drug. Because of inadequate information about its safety, we recommend not using it until 2014, by which time much more will be known.

Alternatives to Chantix (Varenicline) Dangerous Smoking Cessation Drug Side Effects of Antidepressants, Antipsychotics, Psychostimulants, Hypnotics and More
............
The pill was linked to more than 3,000 reports of serious side effects per a Bloomberg report.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration reported in February that at least 39 people committed suicide while on Chantix.........................
Had to dig this one up since I've been away for a minute...but mad props to ya fdd! I quit smoking cigarettes 295 days ago using Chantix as well, and I'm still going strong.

As far as the suicide thing goes...well, I'll say this; If someone as crazy as my ass can handle it, I'm sure you'll do just fine. In all honesty, I did stop taking it once I reached month 3 for fear that I might have actually gone through with offing myself. I was also on some other crazy anti-depressants/anti-anxiety drugs, that were probably counter acted when I started taking Chantix, so I'm sure that has a LOT to do with it.

Anyways...enough rambling...

Best of luck to ya homie!

 :o no way !!!

I'm sure you won't have issues with this FDD, but I had quit cigs, but then ended up smoking again during the weed drought of 08. Now I've got to try to quit again. :(
