Changing my grow style - Comments anyone?

I am thinking of moving to an ebb flow with 6 inch rockwool cubes. Has anyone tried it or does anyone have any opinions?

I am currently doing 2 rooms of aeroponics and it is just a lot of fucking work. I have the system stable but it is hard to not overfeed or underfeed in my grow due to the fact that they start thier life in a botanicare powercloner running 24/7. Then they are moved to botanicare veg trays with aero frames built into them and they run 15 on 15 off. Then I move them to a tent with another aero setup but I have to run that one 15 on 30 off or I get root rot. And its just a pain in the fucking ass and I want a grow that doesnt own me. Even though I do get fat pulls off aero. What do you guys think?

I have never done ebb and flow but i have grown in rockwool and it is pretty simple. Aero is awesome but it can be a bit labor intensive and it is hard to keep it all running but like any grow regaurdless of the level of automation you pretty much will have to be there pretty regularlly. DWC seems pretty low maintence too. If using rockwool i prefer to setup a vert system and ditch the reflectors. They are very easy to maintain once you do the build (if you do the build right of course!) and they will make up for the yield loss you will experience from the swich from aero to hydry.

Ebb and flow is pretty easy once you get it down but right from the start you need to put a lot of time into it to get as much experience and knowledge about how the system works and what exactly the plants need. Not sure exactly what kind of DWC your doing because you didn't specify but in either case your going to need a good airpump because if you don't have enough oxygen you'll get rootrot again. You need ppm/ph meter,I prefer Fox Farm veg. and karma for the veg. cycle,Karma is a catalyst which helps your plants utilize the nutrients at a way faster rate, and Fox Farm is one of the best balanced one part nutrients you can buy. But when it comes to your bud you wan't FloraNova of course,it's the best one part but solutions i've seen yet. I like your idea of the vert lights you should get them cooled with 6'' cooltubes if you have the resources. I'm a pro when it comes to the ebb and flow, any DWC. Take what I have to say seriously. Change your res. every 2 weeks-1 month max keep your system clean. Your going to need ph up and down. Keep your ph between 5.8-6 is best for nutrient uptake. Use expanded clay beads/hydroton has many names. I would suggest getting co2 if you don't have already keep temps between 80-90F Humidity between 40-50 if possible. Goodluck.
