Changing lights

My flower tent is 3'×2'×4.5' tall. I had 3 300w blurple less in it, one died so I put 2-100w cfl lights in its place, but I'm thinking of updating the lights with newer/better. The leds are a couple years old, and put out quite a bit of heat. So to cover that area, not break the bank, what's a good option for a single light ?

One of these lights would give you 50W/square foot. They pull right around 300W from the wall. I ran one in my 32" x 32" tent with decent results. The only other thing I would suggest, that won't break the bank, would be to build your own light.

I was looking at a similar one. Price is good. I just ordered new seeds so that cut the budget in half. I can only spend around 150 max

I have a 1000w hps fixture and controller, I thought about taking the hood off and cutting a hole in the top if the tent and dropping it thru, bad idea? Think the heat would be more than the other lights I am running?

Yes, there will be tremendously more heat with a 1000W HPS than with what you've currently got, especially in such a tiny tent.

I had plans on using the spare bedroom to grow, got going, but my nephew basically got abandoned by his parents so I give him the room, which put me in a walk-in closet. Just looking to improve my set up to be more efficient.

That 4x4x6 tent is more than three times the size of a 2x3x4.5. You're talking 96 cubic feet compared to 27 cubic feet.
Ya, I can't handle any more heat, that's for sure. I leave the veg tent open full time and open the flower tent when lights are on and if I close the closet door it's in the high 80's

I have a 4" inline fan and carbon filter for exhaust and a 12" fan split to move air into the tents
Size doesn't mean anything for the inline. What is the actual fan you are using? If it's a basic 4" inline duct fan that you can get at a hardware store then that is your problem. Those don't push nearly enough air.

I ordered it from eBay, they were pretty much shit. Basically, I need to overhaul the room. I just kept piecing it together thinking it was temporary and id move it into my larger closet, but then my gf moved in and I've been a really horrible care taker for all my girls. I guess it's time to fix the environment as well.....fuckin Carole Baskins screwing up my grow.
