Changing light mid/late flower

Hello all. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. But I’m currently in week 6-7 of flower. It’s been flowering under 275w chilled logic led puck set up. I just received a growers choice roil 720 and was wondering if any issues would be caused by switching the lights out to finish flowering with the 720 dimmed down to lower power of course. I know the spectrum is a bit different between the two lights as well as ppfd at the canopy. Just trying to avoid any late flower issues caused by the change of light.
Or would it be better to just finish the run as is with the current light? I figured the extra ppfd will help fatten up buds even more these last few weeks. Thanks! -caveman

Hi @Cavemanej255

I saw your post and wanted to offer my assistance. Typically, your color spectrum should have little influence with respect to changing out your lights, however PPFD can have a dramatic change. I would recommend trying to maintain similar PPFD levels as you migrate in order to mitigate any stress on the plant. Be sure to pay attention to the leaf surface as they will be a good indicator of any potential issues, such as discoloration and/or foxtailing.

Good luck with your transition.

Have a good day

If you have a similar ppfd it shouldn't be a problem, I do it all the time.
I use F strips for clones/early veg, then move them to tent with red uv enhanced white leds and boards for late veg/early flowering then move them into hut with big FOTOP Boards, QB's and grow green boards to finish off. :D

Thanks so much for your response, Dan! You inspired my desire for diy led a long time ago!
