ok so heres the story, i had a perpetual grow gonig on and there is about 10 plants in my flower tent, while it was cooler outside i had it set so lights were on during the daytime, 9 am-9 pm temp never went over 75, never under 65. now however its heating up, and it reaches 91 in the tent and id like to change it to 9 pm - 9 am. i have a few plants finishing flower this weed and was wondering if right after before i take them out it would be fine for the dark cycle to last the extra 12 hours that would put me on track with where i want the times to be.

so basicly im wondering if this will be any stress to my other plants, im guessing extra dark would be better then extra light, atleast for the flowering plants

or would it be better to have them on like a 12/13 rotation so that over the course of 12 days they would be in line.

thanks for the imput guys :peace:

They'll be okay if you leave the light off for an extra 12 hours. It'll stress them to some degree, but it'll be very small, and won't noticeably effect them, or their yield. If you want to play it really safe, you could go with the 13 hour idea, but it's not necessary. :)

ok thanks, i pretty much assumed this was the case but wasent sure if like they "know"
what time it is or whatever.. i know it would be hard for me to chill out in bed for 24 hours then get up when its normaly night time.

wow.. come to think of it ... relating how people feel to how plants feel isent the kind of thinking normal people do.

LOL anyways + rep to you for imput

LOL, I think that's the main reason alot of new growers overfeed/overwater their plants. They have it in their head that more food = bigger plant, just like people get fatter when the eat alot. Doesn't work that way.

in my opinion, just do the switch fast and quickly as possible, then get it to where you want it. i bet (not positive, just relying on my own logic) that it will stress it out much less if you did it at one go and then had it back to a normal schedule than if you were to stretch that stress out over a week.
