Well this is what I have noticed through the yrs. Plants with thicker stems and leaves usually have bigger buds with more resin. Plants with lighter leaves that are thin and have thinner branches just over all doesnt produce as good.
My aim every yr is to have those thick leathery type leaves and strong thick stems.
Silica is actually an amazing thing... you should read up on it sometime... helps with frost and drought ...ups the yield...helps with many many things including making stronger stems so they can take a bit more of a beating in a storm

Silicates are great but dont use it if you plan to made some seeds... seeds will have so thick shell and hard as beton,they will not sprout even with heavy scuffing.. but in any other case then breeding silica is very good to give to plants..

today later i go to harvest some Horstail and to live her on drying in a shade.. August month is best for harvesting Horstail plant.. its such a miracle remedy that even hard affected plants
with funghal diseases i suceed to save with her.. haved clones also that was goes on
most parts attacked by some funghus and Horstail tea even revived some dead leafes..

you need to try that plant to use to experience all benefitts of her miracle action..

Biodynamic farmers only use her as cure or prevention against any pathogen funghus..

I just got through with dosing my ladies with a very heavy dose of habanero/garlic/onion spray last week, didn't seem to effect the ladybugs at all. There were back the next day. That said, my ladybugs weren't placed and are all natural, so this isn't a purely scientific observation.
