My walk in closet is 6x3x8 however I’m only using a portion of the closet to grow a few plants so my grow space area will be 3x3x6 (and that’s rounding everything up higher) I’m growing up against a window and I’m going to utilize the window to blow out the hot air.. I don’t mind not having a filter to block the smell and after this last couple weeks of heat the normal temps outside should be 70s-80s..now to my question ... I kept doing the equations and math Being told online and I kept coming up with small numbers everything lower then 200cfm ...
numbers like 12cfm or 48cfm or 168cfm ..
Well either way I want to know if someone can help me with this math .. if not it’s cool and Lastly! I am deciding between 3 different fans all 4” .. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on this so please help me out if you have anything useful to add or even a better fan or a clarification on something if I’m doing this all wrong... I may have a passive intake since an active intake might take away from the pressure or co2 or some shit idk haha I grow outdoor so I’m loving all this challenge just don’t want to spend my money unwisely and I’m sure the most expensive fan I show will be the best to go but just remember I’m trying to do a simple grow :) thank you thank you thank you for your help in advance (I sent 3 pictures with my options) and the window is right close by so it will be a real direct shot outside!!

3x3x6 = 54 cubic feet. Multiply times 2 or 2.5 to get CFM required to cool the space when using HID. So 135 CFM is what I get for a 3x3x6 space. If the space isnt isolated then you need to vent the whole closet 144 cubic feet = 360 CFM.

You intend to vent exhausted air outside without a carbon filter?

I live around other people but everyone isn’t too bossy ya know so I think I’m going to push forward without a carbon filter if that helps at all and I guess the noise would be annoying to hear all the time but I don’t see it being a life or death thing I just want to make sure I’m not buying the wrong equipment or doing anything wrong I guess.. thank you guys though
