CFL's to close to seedlings

Just learned first hand what putting cfls to close to your seedling will do. Both seeds popped out of the dirt same day and grew alike for first few days. Both are feminized northern lights auto flower, both grown with same cfls and reflectors. Day of these pictures 3 weeks old.
1.Cfls were put 5 inches away from plant after 5 days.
2.Cfls kept 12-18inches away till done seedling stage.

No stretch is that what you mean?
