Hey guys,
Was wondering if anyone knew where to buy any reasonable CFLs for growing in Victoria, Australia. Preferably somewhere near the city.
Cheers

yo dude, im from vic, aus too, ive found higher wattage CFL's but there sold at Hydroponic stores, the highest wattage i could find otherwise, was at Bunnings, 28 watt warm and cool CFL's. but yeah, other than that, Hydro shop dude, there a bit pricey but they are great, aparently.

I never found 48W at Bunnings.

I found 30W really cheap at Red Dot. My 130W I had to get from Aquarium and Hydro stores.

Im going to Bunnings on the weekend.

do the 130w cfls fit into normal light socket? (E27)

wheres red dot?
Nope, the 130W have huge fittings, you need to buy a separate socket (usually comes with a reflector)

If I were you and BRSkunk is right, I would go out and get about 5 48W (depending on price) globes. The only thing I have had a really hard time finding in Aus are globe splitters.

And sorry I thought Melbourne had Red Dot stores, they are just a cheap ass variety store you get in W.A. But these globes are everywhere man, they are like $3.00 each and you can find 30W max ones in both 2700K (warm white) and 6500K (cool white). So for $18 you can get 180W of light! Just need to find globe sockets.

Good luck

I couldn't find any globe splitters? Where you successful Allgood?

The 48W ones from Bunnings are $27 each, there not cheapo brand. I figured if I bought cheapo they would be more likely to break etc. But They sell packs of 3 x 20W 2700*k for like $15 or something or I think it may be 4 for that price.

Just need to go sus it out.
