Let me preface this by stating I dont endorse this company. i find their product to be innovative and it may be able to benefits members of our community at RIU.

Now, these lights are awesome. reading the specs that is...

This scotopic lumens are confusing and I dont quite understand, so I will have to take them for their words until I can research it myself.

i attached some snippets from some of their brochures. the're not that great, but the website and company name is in there and you can take a look at it for yourself. tell me what you think. i will def post a journal if I buy any.

I guess you are growing human eyes? What the human eye and a plant see are two completely different things. HID is still supreme when growing.

i did mean to mention that I still thought mh and hps were better for growing, and i didnt necessarily mean that cfls were better. stupid me closed out my window though after I typed the whole thread, and i didnt give the second try the same effort.

cfl's will never be able to match the lumens on a h.i.d. light........

The only places that I have found where cfls beat HID are.
The amount of heat produced.
And the complete spectrum.
But HID lamps are starting to match daylight.
So they are almost beat in every way.
