cfls and hps

when using both cfls and hps can cfls be under the hps or does that block too much hps lite. Should they b in the corners?

Yea there would be no reason to put any other light under an HPS. I use both cfls and hps system but where i position my cfls is where very little hps light gets to the plant. I have cfls mounted under plants shinning upwards and at the corners of my grow room and if there is space between plants i try to hang cfls in the space.

i would mount them around sides of area
like other poster said never block light or the gain of extra light is loss in less light from hps

*nod of agreement with the rest* HPS above, CFL's on the sides...use a high K value of CFL as well since you are mixing light, the HPS puts out a low K value(more red), throw in some blue 6500K+ from the CFL's :D

More Spectrum = more like the sun = better growth :D
