CFLS and AUTOS

How many CFLS would I need to run 3 autoflowers inside a rubbermaid grow box? Im thinking a mix of 2700k/6500ks since they veg and flower simultaneously but I dont no how many exactly. Maybe 3 23w 6500ks and 2 2700ks would this be sufficient?

You want 150 watts per plant, and an additional 50-100 per extra plant. More is always better,
unless your amount of space the light takes up exceeds the space for plant growth.

you will need more light.

I don't see how you can cram that into a rubbermaid with air circulation and all, let alone three plants.

150Watts per plant? now im confused, Im not worried about the total plant i have in my box since this run is a lesson to get everything down i have the seeds not worried about that. My question is how many cfls would I need to run alteast grow 2 plants? Keep in mind these are autoflowers im growing! Thanks

SmokesWithHeart - I will look into that, actually makes sense to go with them

Cheechako-Air circulation wont be a problem in my setup Im running a ground fan to move air around and im putting a 120mm exhaust fan in this week.

Im running atleast 2 for my first go with indoor. So what should i run lightwise? Then ill be increasing to 4-5 after the first harvest. Thanks!

150W should be enough for one plant. (I have 156.) If you have two plants, then 50 to 100 more or 200W to 250W. For three plants, 250W would be the minimum. That is 10 or more bulbs and, as I found out, they can put out a lot of heat when enclosed in a small space.

Damn:( thats saddening kinda, It sounds like im be stuck with one plant every harvest lol. Autoflowers at that! but these yield pretty good Sweet Skunk Autos, I dont wanna risk burning my house down from so much lighting! I dont think the rubbermaid could handle that lol I wanted to roll with atleast 2 :(

I thought the ratio was 100W ATLEAST for one plant then an addition 50-100w for another? depending on grow space my space is pretty small and ill be reflecting with mylar also... should I be ok with atleast 2 actually?

Nice fat colas there! They do make some rubermaid tubs that are like 4 feet long. If he had one of theses 3 plants is definitely possible. But anything less three plants would be too cramped.

Just make your box out of something else. Construct a box with some plywood or something. People get pretty darn creative on here just look around.
