CFL worries?

Last time i shut down my little stealth plan. Now i wanna go again at it.. But i looked up my bulbs and this one is known to flicker before catching on fire? Well i have this exact one.. Brand new in my socket in my room and its already flickering.. I don't think the ones ima use in the Grow room flicker. SO should i be worried about my grow room lights? or just my bedroom one? :-(
 
lol are we worrying about a little CFL light starting a fire? my whole house is lit with CFL and i leave them on all the time pretty much no fires yet its been ummmmm couple years now lol i wouldnt worry too much dude
 
@kevin.. Nice grow man! xD Goodluck on that. Oh and thanks im not gonna worry often. I was high also last night lmfao so maybe i was just worried for no reason. I don't know if 100watts is gonna be good enough for like 4 plants? Should be.
 
what is the brand you're worried about?
i have seen a thread that a Bright Effects cfl caught fire for 1 grower, but in general cfl's are supposed to fail without fire
i do feel much better with large porcelain sockets for them, just in case
 
hahahaha i cant believe we are discussing CFL lights spontaneously combusting lol im pretty sure a healthy percentage of american homes use these for normal light for years with no fires related lol
 
Okay, Well if you google they wanted the ban the ones i got lol because they were exploding randomly etc. And like i said ive read they will start flickering lala then blow boom. I already got one that wants to do t hat lmfao

well damn then if they are defective i guess where did u get those man you can go to home depot get a 4 pack for like 20 bucks in whatever soft white or daylight i swear that one in the store never turned off before lol been there for years seems fine.

where did you get those exploding cfl anyway could be fun for a prank lol
