Hello everyone! This is my first post on rollitup and indeed, my first grow. +rep: I really enjoy reading through everyones ideas and grow projects so thought I should contribute!

I must add; I will be starting my grow around the 14th so pictures will start to flow in after that!

I am planning away my bits and bobs to get going and would appreciate any thoughts and opinions.

My plan to start with is to grow 4 'feminised auto AK47 x Lowryder#2' by jointdoctor to keep things easier for my first time!

My setup will be as follows:

Hardware:

- 60cmx60cmx140cm tent (95% reflective interior + light/air tight)
- 2 x Red 125W Envirolites
- 2 x Blue 125W Envirolites
- 4 x 125W Envirolite reflecter
- 1 x 45W 6500K CFL to dangle on in there!
- Phat 100mm Carbon filter w/ RVK100 fan. (>200m3/h)
- 11L pots
- Peat pots for seedlings
- Yeast/Sugar CO2 production

Soil:

- Terra Canna Pro

Nutrients:

- Ionic Grow for soil
- Ionic Bloom for soil

Just a couple of questions to get going:

- Is 545W of CFLs (Envirolites) enough to pull a decent yield from 4 plants? Bear in mind I am growing for personal smoke and to share with friends!

- Would anyone suggest some more suitable soil/nute combinations?

- The effectiveness of the phat carbon filter is of great importance to me, I wonder if anyone has any experience of the smell levels getting exhausted during flowering or any combinations to reduce smell further?

- Will a couple of yeast CO2 generaters produce any noticible veg/yield effects?

I thank anyone for replying in advance, it is greatly appreciated and any constructive criticism is more than welcome!

Thanks for reading, time for a J I think! :bigjoint:

Hi mate, i am a dedicated envirolite cfl grower, sorry to the hps boys but its a question of space, money, electricity prices and most important heat! I run a small budbox 76cm x 76cm by 1.2 meters high. lightwise i emit 450watts of light made up of a 200w blue enviro and 250w red enviro positioned side by side. At best i can get in 9 plants but 6 is much more managble, rotating beneath the lights from blue to red as they flower and new plants are added. i harvest about 3 ounces a month/six weeks and start from seed or clone two plants at the same time. I have a small veg room consisting of 4 2ft flourescent tubes of red and blue light spectrum. it requires a lot of work and careful pruning but the plants grow amazing and give of some good weed, which can be a little leafy but covered with trichromes none the less n even the small popcorn buds get me stoned when dried and cured. The secret seems to be to grow 4 to 6 branches that get saturated with light and concentrate on these rather than 20 small branches that dont yield big fat buds but lots of small whispy ones.
