CFL or Fluorescent Tubing?

I am building a stealth box out of a chest of drawers at the moment for flowering, 39-21-54 (L-W-H). Want to use HID's but because the space is hardly high enough, so I will be using CFL or Fluorescent.

Hydro store tells me to use Fluorescent tubes over CFL, but really hasn't given a good reason as to why. I have only grown with HID's so I have no idea which way I would like to go.

I plan on the plants gaining to 36 inches at least. and do not plan on LST, only going to top the plants.

I have built the box to open from the front, it has a false wall on the back for the fans to exhaust, and now I just need to decide which lights I am going to use.

In that large of a box would you use CFL or Fluorescent? and why

Considering running a Sunblaze 28 in the middle, then turn two Sunblaze 22s horizontal on each side of the SB-28. False wall on the back for exhaust/intake fans, will extend the box a few inches in depth to compensate for the SB-28.

The T5 lighting arrangement drawn in paint real quick to show how it would be setup from an overhead view.

The side view of carbon filter, inline fan and ducted out the back to remove heat and smell. Intake fan will be lower.

Thoughts of doing the T5 like this? Looking into narrowing the spectrum as per pr0fesseurs grow.
