CFL or Bestva 2000 LED for seedlings?

I've got 1 week old seedlings growing well under low watt CFL tubes. A little streching. Should I hang the Bestva 2000 LED blue spectrum to prompt faster growth? If so, how high should it be? Worried about burning the little girls.

Thanks!

When I was running CFL and Flouro lamps ( T5 4/8 bulb ) ... I find them miles ahead than throwing young seedlings under harsher blurple .

You can keep flouro / cfl hella close without issue. The kelvin spectrum of the cfls run from 5000 k ( ecosmart ) to 6400k / 6500k for good early growth and lessen the stretch. But if you have some stretch, it can be remedied with a transplant ( up potting ) and burying the excess stem.

Not familiar with Bestva ( but looks similar to various ones on amazon ). Blue spec tempers excess stretch . But from previous experience with vipar ( back in my early grows ) it is better to “ harden “ the young cuttings, seedlings and new sprouts with a milder light such as cfl or flouro lamps. This way they can concentrate on throwing roots comfortably instead of being overwhelmed by a harsher light. People still throw shade on these kind of lights but they are quite useful when done right.

I like my girls stress free right from the start.

ya bro, thats a flowering spectrum

2700k is straight flowering #s

you want 5000k or higher for vegging plants. mine are 6500k and so are my t5 bulbs.

2700k will still grow a plant, but it will prob be a little stretchy with all that red....you want the other end of the spectrum...the COOL WHITE side....5000k+
Would 40 watt 5000k work? That's my only option if i want to go get them right now.

Yes they would work for seedlings.

Higher the kelvin the more blue, vegging plants love blue light apparently . So we want high kelvin numbers when veg, lower k in flower

3000k is a good flowering spectrum
5000k + is good for veg

3500 and 4100k have been proven to be good all around, start to finish spectrums.
