CFL ok?

i have a 120w cfl with a grow hood, and was wondering if that would be cool to grow with. I'll probably be doin some auto's, so i just want to make sure the light will produce some great buds. i have a hps but those bulbs get really hot and i dont have much to cool it down.

The deal with CFLS is that you want to have a CFL within 1 -2 inches of all foliage, so just one cfl above the canopy wont cut it. Your top buds will be alright but any buds on the side or bottom (if you leave them) will be small and airy, so to prevent this you need to have side lighting as well.
