For shitty lighting you seem to be doing well ,
any way you can enclose them more ? you seem to be wasting alot of what little light you have ?
Reflecting your light back is like 1 of the first things you learn ?
you are paying for it after all.

That light balancing on a pile of books is just like a big no no.
come on...

Bcseedking, yup theyre feminized typically they have a high fem/male ratio even if you choose to save the 30$ extra it costs to get the feminized version,,but i reccomend it so far its been real easy to grow

You look like you need some trimming. Decide if you want to consider doing that. CFL light has low penetration, so you're not going to be getting light into those leafy furrballs.

I am surprised at the growth with the limited number of cfls that I can see.

How am I not making the most of what I've got those plants are bigger and healthier than most that far into the flowering cycle. and unless you can grow better i think that lighting aint shitty either.

He called your lighting shitty because you are using a desktop clip lamp and basic sockets for what looks like 40W cfls, and there doesn't appear to be that many on the two plants you have. His wording was poor, yes, but his point was clear. The balancing on the books is a bad idea, maybe you don't understand that, but it's ok. This is your grow, quit worrying about what he says and answer the constructive posters. I would consider trimming, and incorporating some reflectors.

You're not going to be able to flower that plant with ass few of cfls as you have, so reduce the amount of lights you need by trimming back excess and clumping growth around where your lights are, so the plant doesn't waste energy growing where it won't get light, or add more light. If you do neither of those suggestions then you are most definitely not taking full advantage of what you have to work with, and his point is correct.

Still, we both said we were surprised by the growth you have had with how little light you have, that isn't an insult dude.

Look ,i never knocked your grow , not one little bit ,
What i am saying is make the most of the light you are using (which i do not rate , it's not personal , it's a light,) by using reflectors and by enclosing the plants area with reflective material,
Is it not obvious that any electrical item balancing on a pile of books , is dangerous and quite bluntly, stupid.
Your plants do look healthy yes , you asked for advice , you could do better by utilising your light better and tidying up and being safer.
I would'nt give advice if i didn't have a clue , to answer your question feel free to click on my profile and check my threads,
good luck.

My wording was to the point as not to confuse ,

1 , i didn't see his previous thread so i did not know a 1000w unit was on the horizon,
i was also blunt because the book balancing trick is dangerous , and i was hoping he would realise,
He is wasting alot of light he is producing, although his growth is strong,

My post was not only correct , it was worded properly,
Clonex.

"Shitty light" is the wording i was referring to. And frankly, it was poorly worded.

But yes, you made alot of veyr good points, the word "shitty" put him on the defensive though, and he pretty much ignored everything you said because of what appeared to be an insult. You may know plants, but if you knew people you would understand why that wording was bad.

May I ask why people get so offended by constructive criticism? Your grow is ghetto(so is mine) and like me, you should listen to the experienced growers advice, they've been there and done it many times.

Sticking your finger up at them will just cause more problems. Try not being so touchy and LISTEN to the advice. Whether you choose to heed the words or not is your choice, but don't get shitty with people because they offer advice. The guy has over 2500 posts on here, he's obviously been here a while and done a few grows himself.

well its a good job im not here to make friends , i doughnuts instead,
the word shitty was perfect for what i saw.
your making it worse by wrapping him in cotton wool ?
when his light falls over and burns him alive he would be offended then ?
im not frank and i dont know any franks.
let that be all now.
i was trying to help.

Another thing about nl x haze is that its very much a hogg when it comes to nutrients,, I've been consistently feeding them nutes since flower and no burn at all.
