IMG00250-20110803-2203.jpgi have 5 plant just finishing week 4. In a home mix of ocean forest and happy frog. I have 13 26w cfls rated 2700k, 1750lumens, that gives me a total of 338w, 35100k, 22750L. So thats 67w, 7020k, 4550L, per plant. I want to start flowering next week and dont know if this is too much light or too little. I have read alot of threads that say i want around 100w per plant and seen others say i dont want more then 2700 to 3000k for flowering. I asume this is per plant. Will someone break it down for me? It seem like i have too much light, just not sure. Thanks

Nice sounds like you have very good soil :)
Take a look around the CFL forum plenty of people had less light than you and still got great harvests, i say youre looking good! Doubt you could have too much CFL light :P not without getting crazy so if you have more and its feasible to add go for it :)
Lol the 2700K" is a temperature of the wavelength the bulb produces. So the lower one (2700K) refers to fall/flowering bulbs. Its a Rating so you dont add them ;)

And just to clarify ATM it looks like you have the vegitative bulbs at 7500k correct? And when you switch your light cycle for flowering you will be switching to 2700k?

Ill assume youre using regular seeds? Then most likely half your plants will be male and will be taken out. MEANING you will have even more light for flowering per plant. :D

Are you going to be using LST or SCROG??

ill be watching this baby

No problem, but let me get a little more info.

Youre currently running the yellowish 2700k blubs?
What light schedule are you using 12/12 or 24/0??

Hmmm well,
Normally people use 7500k(blue lights) for 24/0 then when you switch to flowering you go 12/12 and 2700k(soft white)(trIggers floweRing hormones)
I guess switch whenever? Don't know much about using 18/6

Hahaah well theres tons of information on marijuana online and even more DISinformation. From what ive read switching to 12/12 shouldnt cause hermies. Now if you have any light when they are in the darkness part that will cause hermies or cause weird bud growth (got this last time because i wasnt careful).

But youre way will work just fine, closer to nature which tapers off gradually. I would do some more reading and try to find someone who gets awesome looking plants and has a high post count.
