Hey all,

Planted some seeds about 2 weeks ago 3 dank seeds and 2 random bag seeds. Im using organic potting soil, tap water thats been left to sit out to evaporate chlorine (note i did use bottled water for the seedlings and to germinate). Right now im just using some CFLs for vegging but i will be using a HPS in a different cab to flower them.

If anyone has any idea why im getting yellow leaves please speak up but im not too worried its not spreading and the plants seem to be doing awesome.

Cut off all the dying yellow tips/leaves with a pair of scissors today. They seem to be doing just fine :P. The middle one is all funny and warped looking.

Subbed. I'm doing sorta similar, LED+CFL. Mine has more plants, less light, all bag ladies. Oh and I haven't smoked any of mine yet. Seriously tempted but I'm making myself happy smoking the males. Tiny little body buzz, better than nothing. Luck!

Nice little plants you got there Monkey. I'm doing a HPS/CFL grow as well and loving the results. Check out the link to it in my sig.

am all for cfl grows but your soil is all wrong! see my cfl grow i had them under 24 hours cfls for veg they work great any one that tells you other is just a hard core HID GROWER, I WOULD FLUSH PLANTS SOON before you hit flower and put your plants under your feed sced but i dont think your soil will agree with the flush but you can try keep us updated. and by the way cfl+ hps is a great way but i cannt afford the electric and all the equipment but i would deff go cfl+ hps.check out my cfl+ sun grow

How is my soil all wrong? And usually you flush your plants before flowering to reduce the amount of sugars in your buds and produce a smoother smoke, is there a good reason to flush BEFORE flowering as well?

i was kind of thinking the same about the soil, potting soil will definatley work but it tends to have alot more sticks and mulch things that are generally harder for roots to grow into

always salt build up when you feed regular salt can slow growth and moste part cause nutrient lock out by the way did you use str8 potting soil or did you mix with other soil?

I believe it is just organic potting soil, so what would you suggest i use and or add???
And do you get salt build up from the nutes?

Thanks for stopping by in my grow. Your babies are looking nice and bushy so far. I'm a newbie but I can help with what I've read and or learned throughout my grow. As far as I've read, you do get a salt build up when overnuting your plants. That's why nute companies tell you to water your plants with nutes every OTHER watering. That gives the plant time to absorb the nutrients and will less likely cause a nutrient lock out. Correct me if I'm wrong...as this is what I remember reading. I myself am experimenting with a low dosage of nutes EVERY watering. As i've witnessed good results from friends doing this. I'm sub'd up! Hope that helps.

The yellowing can be a result of many different things. Have you started any nutes?? How often do you water?? How big are your pots??
