CFL height above plants?

Hi, this is probably on this site already but i couldn't find it. Im just wondering how far my lights should be from the top of my plants.

if using the spiral cfls. try to keep them about 1-2 inches away from your plants. just don't get them so close that they burn your leaves. don't let your plants touch them. you might want to look through the grow faqs at the top of the page. there is lots of infomatition in there. it can answer most of your questions. good luck on your grow
