You just solved my one problem. I was planning on using socket plugs in light strips with the Y's. the cords look much simpler.they are regular hanging light sockets with 8 foot cords. I bought 10 Y splitters from walmart and just kind of made a web. It works great for getting your cfl's on their side for optimum light on your leaves.

I would for sure want to see this!!! post a picIf anyone is interested, I have pic of a homemade cfl fixture that my fiancee built for us, we just screw in a couple splitters and they work great.
