So here's the story:
I decided I finally wanted to grow myself a few plants and make some rent money. Now I know a guy who's been doing this a long time whom I was planning on getting 4 clones from. My girlfriend and I bought everything to make a cool 6x4x2 grow box. Six feet long, two feet wide, four feet tall. We are making it out of a wood frame and black and white mylar. There will be a divider in the box two feet in. We are planning on keeping a mother in the 2x2x4 area for a bit, and 3 clones at a time in the other section. We're using cfl's to light it to keep heat down (don't worry, plenty of wattage) and we have basic reflectors for the lights. We have two small fans that are dead quiet, and a larger window fan that actually has two fans blowing that can be switched from intake to exhaust. We have some scent killer gel we will keep with them till they are smelly enough to need a carbon filter. We're going to be using black gold coco soil as our grow medium, with some perlite for drainage. We have a nice digital pH tester and a cheap thermometer for inside the box. It's actually a pretty nice neat setup.
Here's where problems arise. We bought all this where she lives, 50 miles from the grow area. We were planning on doing it at her place. I go home and have a couple days till my clones are available. Next day I call to see when he wants me to get the clones, he tells me right now. So I think, ok, I can handle 4 clones for two days until she comes to get them. I bring a plastic box with vents and show up for my girls. He goes down and comes up with my backpack bulging with green. Tells me "Here, just take this plant, it will give you more than four clones." Then I get rushed out. Bag goes in trunk and my friend and i leave. I get to his trunk from inside and open the bag so she can breathe and wow, what a smell. He gave me a two foot plant. So I kinda freak, I had nothing to take care of her with at my place, so I call and get a friend to pick me up more black gold and a cheap grow bag. I get home and move her in to my closet quick (walk in). Pulled her out and on the bottom is a plastic cup with a massive root ball. He was growing her hydro. So we get her in some soil and get it nice and moist. I put the lights i have on her and run to walmart for a blue spectrum 150 watt normal bulb.
Now it's the next day and I've been watering her every twelve hours with a cup of water with a small amount of honey and she is sucking the soil dry fast. She seems to be springing back to life, and tomorrow night we will have all the right equipment here to raise her. I'm praying for a miracle cause she looked a little nutrient burned when i got her.
