Thanks for the repyoutayshun! Lets hope those clones survive! I wanted to see whats up with the scrog methods but seems like way too much of a hassle, F that im lazy haha. It kinda is easy. Just water em with the right ferts and watch them grow! not literally, its quite boring lol.

actually scrog is pretty easy until you actually start 12/12 and then all you do is pull tops through the screen. But im with you its all about keepin it simple and easy. Im about to check the clones now but im feeling confident. I do need to get some different cloning solution, i just picked up some cheap stuff last time i was out because i live in the north east and with all this damn snow everythings been closed or out of stock of everything.

I have same setup as this, just started my second grow with this setup, first was male so chop chop, second one is fem, took clones for the first time too, (highly recommended). Anyways good shit man, gonna try and get some mroe 85's also, what spectrums are your cfls putting out? are you using blue and red each per plant flowering?

WHat i did is i used just the blue spec for veg, and then i used flower spec and veg spec as soon as i started 12/12 of flowering.
Seems to be working really well.

GL in this grow!

Ive got a 5-1 ratio of lights, 6 bulbs in the box, 5 flowering, 1 veg(blue). The Blue light sits on the lefthand set of lights where the late flowering occurs. Tryin to squeeze out some crystals before i give them the ol' axe.

I forget the actual wattage of mine i got the giant ones also there like 300w equivalent is that what your using?

I beleive those are 68watt bulbs. Still those are the larger size bulbs like mine. Mine are the 350w equivalent bulbs.

$18-$20 per bulb? ive been thinkin about checkin that site out. I can only find 68 and only in 2700k.

yup, sounds expensive but its about right. and pretty good deals too on multiple bulb orders. They have all spectrums from 2700k-6500k

True, and not nearly as warm either. The only downfall is the proximity range, and you kind of need a few bulbs to achieve your lumen/sq ft. ratios adequate enough for your plants. Anything too low will make them stringy and stretchy, and possibly not bud at all.

True. The work of moving the lights daily, especially during that stretch after starting 12/12. Im happy workin with cfls for right now and i honestly think it teaches more about growing, just because you have to dial everything in just right to get good yeilds.

Exactly... the light source is one thing, but the adjustments to fixed, or slightly adjustable lights, help you learn how to manipulate your grow to achieve what you are looking for. I just recently had some 2x4's cut to make risers for the table i had made to get plants closer, and i can take each board out to lower the table, as needed, excellent observation!

Agreed. My light set up was made to be able to maximize my adjustment potential. I had now idea how the grow would go so I made sure that I had as much flexibilty with my lighting as possible. Worked out great for me.

Thanks for checkin out the thread kmk15. Always glad to have followers! I was thinking about getting a 250 just to eliminate all the other bulbs, but i will take a lumen drop, and have to really monitor my height issues. Along with ventilating the room and light/hood set up.
Im sort of running into height issues now, Ill have to post a pic but these plants are about 2-3 inches from the bulb and will continue to get bigger. I was thinking of training the tops downward slowly with garbage twist ties, i cant have them that close while they still are going to flower and grow taller. Ive heard of snapping the stalk slightly and having it hang, while it repairs the snap and continues to treat it as its still growing.

Some room updates, got the fan installed and running, doesnt cool the temp down too much more, or noticeably at all, but its a fan, finally.

Some pics of the new training method im gonna try out, super simple, trash twist ties and some bending(extremely difficult and very expensive!).
