So i mosied on down to the local hydroponics store, just in time for "happy hour" 25% off nutrients and soil! picked up some kewl new sprayer, angled nozzle that rotates 360degrees, perfect for top and bottom foliar feedage. Also picked up 2 more additional products, and got info. about another. I decided to get Botanicare Hydroplex, and Botanicare Ripe. 2 excellent products and in conjunction make some sweet juice to fatten ur nuggies. According to sublbc, he reccomends half hydroplex, half ripe, for the late flowering stages. I have yet to make a mix to try and post results. Another product i looked at was the Humboldt Nutrients Gravity, some awesome stuff. its a small ratio, but the beneficial factor in that is u dont need alot to produce rocks for nugs, is what the man tells me at the store.
This product is very similar to hydroplex, and ripe/gravity combo would be awesome, i didnt decide to get it this round. Based on the fact, i need to work out these nutrients and see how they produce before i introduce a killer product like gravity. The guy said more is not better, and funny thing, i read that on another review on a different hydroponics supply website. This guy knew what i was looking for and suggested i try to work these nutes first and then next round introduce a plan with the Gravity product. All in all i was looking for a product to make denser end result product for longer lasting smoke time. We can all agree on that right? :)

Smokefully,

i wish there were hydro stores around here to buy online is a hole in the pocket in terms of shipping cost...

BTW, How long do your strains flower for..?

Testing out the flowering now, should be roughly 8 weeks, but i have it marked frmo when i put them in the box. Need to go pick up a jewelers lens to check the crystals for maturity. will do that another time.

Was just looking up the application rates of hydroplex and it seems like pretty concentrated stuff (2-5 ml/G). I'm using the same CNS17 line; grow, bloom, ripe, and I've been wondering how flower hardeners work.

Thinking about picking up some hydroplex for the next set of flowering plants and adding it to half of them to see the results of with and without. I was going to suggest you have one of your plants without it (1/4) and watch the actual difference.

Anyways, those little guys are really beefing up now and I can't wait to see them turn into little budsickles. If Giesel is an 8 week strain, have it myself (something I'm about to go look up), week 6 should be the exciting part.

Sweet man! glad to see people are into the cfl sog phaze, seems like its the new thing everyone is getting into, either its cost or just effective results, glad to have a crowd whos into it and can share information with.

Side note, since it was Xmas, i got a gift called Zero Water, its a water pitcher that filters water, just like a Brita... only better! Not only does it filter water, but it brings the PPM down to 000!! i have my own mini RO! its freakin amazing, AND it came with a digital TDS meter! tested my tap, 350ish ppm... filtered that, 000ppm! amazing... so stoked! If you are interested in clean drinking water, choose this item because it has a free digital TDS meter included!

And its GONE! True og clone did not survive the xplant, even with watering and careful handling, i guess it wasnt strong enough to survive... RIP :(

Damn, sucks about the True OG clone. Seems like it's not too finicky about shooting roots which is awesome.

With that filter you might want to run some cal/mag. The fact that it has a little tds meter on it owns, how much for the filter thing?

The filter replacements are about 9-11$ each, the whole pitcher with 1 filter was 40-45$, the digital meters run about 40$ range themselves for a decent one.

So im thinking of getting a new item from the hydroshop, but its a split decision between 2 things. A heating pad with digital thermostat, or a flower hardener. I have my pros and cons on both, including cost. but im leaning toward the flower hardener... suggestions?

Gonna see how the hydroplex cns17 ripe turns out, see if they dense up, or just bulk up in size. but your right, i just realized a heating pad isnt that necessary, but what i forgot to mention is i have no way of looking at the trichromes, so instead, im gonna grab a 60x microscope.
