Cfl Flowering

Ok, i have been reading up on cfls for flowering I have 6 42watt 2700k cfls. but have been reading that people have been useing full spectrum of red 2700k and blue 6500k?. ok so if you use 6500k blue how many vs. red 2700k for flowering, and the same question for veg cycle also, how red and how many blue cfls???? also can anyone post some pics of there grow cabinets (no store bought ones plz--I like a challange)

Well it'll flower just fine under all 2700k lights, that's around where an HPS operates. Some argue that the plant does better with some blue light in there. I have 220 watts of red and 40 watts of blue

With a 3 bulb light bar (with spiltters) 6 bulbs or 3 bulb light bar with 2 spiltters=5 bulbs

I concur . . . with CFL's isn't the object to get quite close without the heat concerns? Nice room, though.

general rule somebody said was 10000 lumen per square foot
here is what I heard on color
the sun has more red's(2700k) in it more towards summer/fall.
in spring/summer there is more blue's(6500K)

so a 55w bulb putting out 3600 lumens is about half the strength of the sun? anyone know this yet?

Ok, I have the same question here.
I'm using an envirolight setup which apparently is slightly different to other CFL's .
I have a 2 light reflector hood for mine, like the one they sell on their site (tho I didn't get it from there) ok ..
I'm slowly building my setup bit by bit, I just don't have all the money to go out and buy exactly everything I want at once, and some is hand built.
My setup can be seen in my album, tho i need to take some better pics.

I have spaces in each for 2 bulbs (building two spaces) at the moment I have two 200watt white bulbs, I'm on my first grow with this setup, but last year I did just hang it up in a shed and grew some plants under it and did ok. (with no reflection in walls, forgot to water some days and was in winter so had a little heater which came on now and again, not proper timer tho, i got a fir crop from 6 plants of pretty good weed)


O.k.
So, do I carry on with this lighting regimen in the new box (its proper this time) or should I add a red 200watt one in there too when I switch to 12/12? I know it will flower and crop fine with the one I have but will it make a significant difference?

Also, I've just picked up this 50watt UVb reptile light which I'm going to put in there for flowering (to aid the THC content according to some stuff I've read.)
If I do that, will I not need a red bulb in there too?

My thoughts are that you were REALLY stoned when typing that...lol.

I think you need the basics.

Seedling/vegetative cycles. 6500K
Flowering. 2700K

There are full spectrum bulbs of 4100K that are great to use during both veg and flowering periods.

The more light the better.

I don't know about the reptile light, but if it's being used by people and the results are fine then use it.

the lights were lower I raised them to take the pic..Also the refelctive material I have on the walls works f-cking great. I noticed right off the bat when I lined my grow and flower walls thant the light was brighter..
