CFL Experiment w/ purple haze + need advice

Ok, I've been growing this single plant now for just about two months initially using just one huge 105 watt CFL (5000k) for veg and then eventually switching to two 105's (2700k) for flowering. Growing using just plain dirt and water. Im actually quite surprised...this girl is just short of 3 feet in height and seems to being filling out quite nicely. It was just an experiment to see how much (if anything) I could get, but I think Im going to use these bulbs for future grows maybe with more. Im pretty happy with how things are looking so far though.

Anyway so to the more experienced growers here how long do you think I have to go before I can chop? I was told the strain was purple haze but Im not entirely sure....as stupid of a question as this may be I've actually never had or grown PH before....So is PH actually supposed to be purple? Or is that just in the name for some reason?

the purple in the name has nothing to do with PH.

You better go smoke another bowl or something. PH = Purple Haze. Not pH as in 0-14.

I don't know the actual genetics of purple haze and I'm too lazy to look it up - I'll leave that to you. I know a Google search will answer your question. Generally if the name contains purple it's a reference to purple genetics. This is not always the case though. Even if it is a purple strain it doesn't necesarrilly mean that it will turn purple - a lot of purple strains never do. I know cooler temps are the key though. Cool temps at night are what turns purple strains growing outside purple. Check out this website for a start. It lists different strains and some genetics for some of those strains, along with a shit ton of other information.

heres a fantastic thread. Nobody can give you an estimate in days, only your plant and what you want to get from it, can make that determination. Try to read just a few threads before posting as people, myself included, are tired of hearing and replying to the same question every single day.
