Central Air need a dehumidifier?

I have a tent that's 4x2x5, 4'inline fan, 400w mh/hps, AIRtemp controller and my house has central air.
So my question do I need a dehumidifier for the controller or is the central air enough for this setup you think?

my central air dries my place out bad. But we don't have much humdity anyway. I add to get my humidity up to 28%

I live in a pretty humid region of NY(Lake Ontario and). Even w/ central air my humidity is 70% so I'm just not sure if I should spend the money or if will be fine.

BTW Im growing WW, AxM , and mix Sativa not sure if these have specific requirments.

the humidity stays high here too. so i went and bought a dehumidifier.
i used it long enough to find out it was not worth running, it jacks the
temps up, and it eats electricity. get a fan for your closet. spend your
money else where on your grow.

Ok oscillating fan it is. I read if the breeze hits the girls it will decrease bud and increase stem. How concerned should I be?

if you use a carbon filter after 60 percent humidity it will lose almost all efficiency. I actually have a weird kinda funny story. recently I had to add on to my room. I was using wood to build on to it. when I put the fresh cut fur wood in the room it brought the humidity down 25 percent! wow. it went from 55 average to around 30. now I can't say this will work for everyone but I had great success with it. I will be making cuttings of wood and hanging them to reduce humidity more if needed. a fan that blows on everything lightly will not do to much damage just make sure every plant is moving a little bit when the fans on. and by a little I mean the leafs lightly move not the stem. Make sure when you buy wood that its kinda wet and I would use a fur wood since these will be traditionally softer and able to absorb more. hope this helps.

So long as you have good air movment I don't think you'll have a problem with the humidity. I sealed my room off so I can keep fresh air"open window" moving in the room. For me it helps bring the humidity up. lights are on at night and fans run 24/7 ac heat pump keeps the temps under 80.

So the carbon scrubber wont do anything at my humidity? So then how do I cover smell?

I am going to just hook both fans to the Controller so it will just kick on whenever its too hot rather than just running them 24/7.

I would suggest running at least your outlet fan 24/7 this will help humidity the most. if you want your filter to work properly you will have to bring the humidity down. there are other ways of affecting smell with sprays or gels but I don't think any of these work incredibly well. your best bet for smell protection is to bring the humidity down to under 55 (at 60 its almost useless) and hook up your filter to the outlet. you can also get an ionizer or ozone producer. if you do don't run it 24/7 only run it with the lights on or when you can smell it. too much ozone and it will smell odd outside your vent. make sure you have a carbon filter not a carbon sock. those things suck they will stop working before you know it.

thats ok its not a sock. if you buy a dehumidifier it will raise the heat so watch out for that. Also remember to empty it regularly. dehumidifiers usually don't last too long so the better you care for it the longer it will last.
