The plant starts eating itself near the end for more N, as I understand it. This is totally normal. Also.. are your temps 75-80? My Top44 leaves are purpling from extended cold temps. I've got mine at 67-72 degrees, though. I ask because mine yellowed before purpling.
Also, I tried a pinch of the Top44 today! I couldn't hold back and, even though I'm at day 30 or so, I figured I'd give it a fast nip. I did a microwave job on the tiny, TINY bud (jellybean size) 15 sec, then 15 more, then 20. After that, it was still moist, but dry enough to puff. I didn't fire it hard at first in the glass.. kinda licked the flame over it a few times just to get it a bit drier without burning, then lit it and voila! It was a great feeling. Not much in the way of taste (no flush, of course), but a totally competent, upbeat buzz. I was genuinely pleased.. especially since I had to go to work after that!
