CBD/Hemp/ THC

So the whole Hemp/ Cbd craze is full swing in Vermont. Lots of fields full of hemp for cbd and whatnot.

So with the 2018 farm bill you can grow hemp legally. Vermont has super good prices per acre if you want to cultivate. And i heard that the market is around 300$ a pound for “cornfield hemp” or 1000 for “craft”

Seems like there would be decent profit margins.

My question is, isn’t hemp identical to thc while growing? What is stopping someone from growing a field half hemp and half THC and making more cash? Cause a Lb of outdoor is going for at least 1800 out here.

When the state asks for a test, you give them your actual hemp.

I’ve never heard of the state inspecting a grow, just when they went to Pete’s Greens in Craftsbury because they had tons of THc plants and they only went after someone told them multiple times what was going on.

Still
nothing happened to them.

Also someone planted hemp or thc on the vermont statehouse and they arnt even testing it or investigating.

I have land and the time, next year I may try my hand at an acre of hemp. Try to grow it more like thc than cornfield style. I believe it’s 150$ a liscnese for anything under 5 acres.

. Washington's is confused. Its easier to grow legal pot than hemp.LOL

I grew both cbd hemp and marijuana side by side this season.
Not much discernible difference. Unless you are familiar with both. Trichome shape, structure to a degree, and the dead give away is scent. Hemp scents are not that diverse yet. Their is no diesel hemp for example..

With that said, your idea is how hemp got made illegal in the first place!

So you are endangering legalization of hemp. This hurts farmers who maybe want to grow food and fiber as well as CBD hemp.

So I dont support the idea.

Anyone know the going rate for hemp in Colorado? I heard as low as $1 a point = $10 a pound if it is 10% CBD.
