lol....I'm embarassed to say I do not know what a preflower is
. Maybe they just haven't stretched yet, I keep my lights oober close???2 weeks.....GRRRRR! Hey......whatever I gotta do to get the best ladybud I can! They sure get wider and fatter everyday.....just not taller. You think I should raise my lights to 4" to get some stretch?

Those ladies are looking great catt! I think what they lack in height they definitely make up for in lush bushiness. Maybe give em at least one more week? I dont think raising the lights would be too bad of an idea either if it's just to 4".

I'll raise the lights a little after I feed them tomorrow morning before work and see what I come home to!

Thank ya! I was so shocked at how much they grew while I was gone... Guess because I had taken a break from staring at them everyday haha 
I never really put much thought into it, but I guess I don't have a set time for watering. I think I usually water in the middle of their daytime, and if I'm gone for the night then just before lights out when I get back home in the morning. Though now that I think about it, watering during lights on would probably lead to more evaporating, though the plant might absorb more during photosynthesis. And watering at nighttime might lead to greater risk for mold/fungus, but don't quote me on that!

I bet they stretch like stupid! I'm personally never going to "promote" stretch ever again. Mine went from 10-12 inches @ the end of veg to 3-4 feet by week 2 of flower. They stopped going up now thank god! I can't wait to get started on a scrog! But I'm prolly gonna set up a full perpetual divided room when I get moved! I'm hopin to sink all the funds I get from this grow into making the next one that much better and I will probably keep a mom and clones in the box I have now.

I just now got a chance to look at the update they are beautiful little girls. I'd veg them another week or 2, I. Water every two days, and when I water I adjust my lights too , I switch off one time I put lights close and the next time I'll put them around 10" so they can get that stretch and then chill for two days an so on. But awsome job Catt

Forgive me guys but r u saying the light should be closer to plant, around 4"? I only have one growing 16 days from seed but I keep my 38w cfl which is 75w eqivalant at 10" away... This explaines the stretch. I was afraid that it would get to hot that close to plant. I read this thread EVERYDAY!! I still have a lot to learn! BEAUTIFUL job Cat!!! They look amazing!! Any help is ALWAYS appreciated!

Yes...happy for now, this is what I've got for wattage as of right now: 6 26w 6500k, 6 26w 2700k, and my fish tank light which consists of a 54w daylight 10kk tube and 8 small built in led bulbs. I also have the option to turn on the purple looking tube but I do not know what it is except that it's 54w and it's purple and says actnic professional, so I just leave it off. When I flower I will run about 10 26w 2700k, 6 26w 6500k and 2 68w 2700k's
closer Downinit.....keep your light as close as you can without burning them, and blow a fan gently on em too. I would add one more light tooThis how it looks right now.. Pretty cheap just to see if I could even get it to grow.. I can only go up from here! Lol
