caterpillars

I need help please! I have a beautiful sour kush going outside. I'm in my final 2 weeks, just started flushing and now the caterpillars come. I thoroughly went over the plant and picked off any I could find a well as knock off as many eggs as I could. In sure I didn't get them all. Most are about an eighth inch, look like fresh hatch. Being that I'm only about 2 weeks window to harvest from what I read there doesn't seem like there's much I can spray on them. Am I at a point where I will have to hand pick them off till she's done? Also, what happens when I harvest and there's some still in the buds that I may have missed? Just sit and rot my bud. I have no problem smoking the little fuckers after they've been threw a grinder. By the way, they seem to be so small in size I don't find any shit yet. Advice please? Thank you in advance

Nothing you can do, just sell it to someone you don't like.
Yeah, I figured. I can only do my best to pick the little prick off. Chopped and trashed a 9 footer last week because I didn't catch it, rotted the buds. First time grower, so fucking aggravated probably my last! Haha, I'll end up the guy someone sells this to. Dammed of you do, dammed if you don't. So, anything I could have feed or done to prevent this?

I've seen some stuff that you put at the base of your stem that stops them from crawling up the plant. But I do not know the name. I even googled it and came up empty. But the hydroshop I use to work at carried it

My problem is gypsy moths. Landing on the buds laying there eggs. I'm thinking about drowning them. The ones I pick off and throw in a bucket of water drown in about 30 seconds. I'm thinking about trying to submerge my buds somehow for a little longer than that. Thoughts?

Spray her down with a water holes to remove the bugs from the leaves. That's what I would do but your call.

So in the end I dried 4.5 oz's and didn't seem to have any issues. The bud smokes great and gives you both an overall body high as well as a good head high. I think the thing that saved me was chopping it and hanging it. As soon as the buds started to dry and close they started to bail. As well as the hours of combing it over with a light and tweezers. Be safe all

You can use Safer brand Caterpillar Killer up to the day of harvest. It uses BT instead of chemicals and is OMRI certified for organic use. I had to use it for the first time this year and it worked very well.

The moths that lay the eggs don't crawl up the plant.

You are correct. Although it is recommended to stop use prior to harvest with cannabis as its not quite like a fruit or veggie... Lol. Bt is the shit against caterpillars though. I also discovered spinosad will do them in also. But nspinosad will affect bees it last a little longer and is also omri approved

LOL Classic. I am much the same. Takes a bit more than a few bugs to stop me hoofing it down.

Sorry to hear you had to pull her early. Those 3 buds at the top looked mad. Nice job.

People pay to eat cooked frigging bugs so why not smoke 'em?
